Christmas and Early Spring

Apparently, updating the blog has not been at the top of the priority list.

So in summary, we had a fun time at Susan's parents' house for Christmas with all of the family.  It rained most of the time, but that's not really unexpected for that time of year.

The kids really enjoyed having more people to play with and run around with.

Ezra got his first bike. He was quite excited.  Now if we could just convince him to ride it more often, he would probably enjoy it more.  Ezra is often reluctant to try things until he gets in his head that he can do them, and then he all of the sudden knows exactly what to do.

The kids loved seeing grandma and grandpa.  Emma wasn't real keen on the family photo session, but sitting on grandpa's head sure got her smiling.

Emma stole Shawn's hat and wore it for quite a while, but that's pretty normal.  She loves that hat.

The kids all had fun going out and shooting rockets.

Ezra even got to push the fire button, which really made him smile.

Not really sure what happened in January.  This is the only picture that I've got.  Emma was being the "tick-tock crock" from Peter Pan.  It got quite cold for here, so we'll see how everything in the yard comes back.

In February, we got to spend some time with Kelly and Cameron.  The kids always like to climb all over him, and I think that he enjoys it too.

Our normal spring-like weather has started finally.  We have had quite a few freezes this year.  Most of the daffodils from last year are coming up again, which will be great when they finally bloom.

Emma has decided that she likes purple carrots the best.  She always would want carrots from the garden, but for a bit she would only take the purple ones.

The kids have enjoyed helping outside as we've started preparing things for the new planting season.  Emma would be happy to just sit outside all day and dig in the dirt.

Thanks to the cold, we've had a lot of leaves to clean up from the semi-evergreen trees.

We've also stayed busy trying to get other projects done around the house, like repainting the bathroom.  We all like this quite a bit better, with possibly the exception of Emma, but she's used to it now.

The kids have also had fun running around the house and playing "tennis" (also known as golf).
